Ladies and gentlemen, i’m proud to introduce you to my brand new label In Bloom Recordings. After 2 long years of producing techno and breakbeat i decided to take full control of my own music and at the same time promote and give more visibility to some new talent and release the music i like.
The first release came out on all the digital stores on Tuesday 24th January. It’s a Home Alone original (Motorshow), backed by a great remix by my NZ friend Ap3x.
Here’s what our press release introduced it as:
Motorshow is a peak time, “reach for the lasers”, big room monster from label boss and breakbeat stalwart Home Alone complete with a filthy half-time, crowd pleasing, breakdown.
This is accompanied by a stripped back psychedelic influenced remix from the rising star NZ producer Ap3x.

The original is a big stomper of a tune, destined to destroy the dance floors with it’s big riffage and solid drums. AP3X is getting mighty good…. and this remix is no exception – he extracts the groove and layers fx, sounds and swooshes over the top to great effect – everything has it’s place – really nicely sculpted – great track. Awesome first release and I look forward to more of In Bloom.

Massive work again, this is the sound that i like to hear from this label QUALITY Original is a pure wicked progressive tech track for killing the dance floor. Remix pure psy like it use to be. i think it will be a good year from this label

Apex remix – Intro probably needs a bit more variation in it but heck when it drops its wicked! Hes done a fantastic job on it! , Very impressed. Very Hedflux influenced you can tell. Production on it isn’t too shabby either.

I like the original, nice n’ chunky with that Home Alone trippy twist. It’s not really the sort of thing I’d play out right now, but as usual Dino’s production is lovely! I’m not a big fan of the half time dreakdown much tho, but I am getting old hahaha! The Ap3x remix is the one for me. Real deep, druggy & heavy. Proper late night bizznizz. If the time was right I could see myself dropping this trippy bad boy. Overall it’s a cracking start to a new label. Top work

Just gave the tracks a listen ………… impressive stuff for a first release. Love both the mixes but ist the org for me as its so filthy. Love the warping synths rollin groove and the almost dubstep bit will be supporting big time mate.
Also loved the remix quite psy but a wkd groove yours just sneaks it though

To my mind this release is great! The quality of both tracks is perfect! I liked original track more, because the style of it is closer to me. But the remix is on the same level! I think people will like it too and they prove it on the dance floor!

With 15 official release between remixes and originals, a few successful bootlegs, a Mike Hulme remix that made it to the finals at the officia U&A remix contest, a very much played and downloaded remix of Meat Katie‘s Bizzarre is Beautiful and a number of guest mixes for some of the best breaks radio shows on the internet, this has been another very prolific year for Home Alone
Like last year i thought it would have been nice to recapitulate the year with a minimix that included all 15 official releases in a little less than 20 minutes. Some of the tracks included in this mix made it to the (in)famous Beatport charts reaching as high as the top 30.
2011 was also the year of some interesting live appearances such as the Grand Hotel night with the Plump DJs and the headline gig in St Petersburg (Russia) for the Steptusin night that also hosted acts of the caliber of Hedflux, Far Too Loud, Neurodriver, B-Freak, Peo De Pitte etc.
So here’s to a magnificent, healthy and prosperous 2012. This year will see the birth of my new label In Bloom Recordings among the many other projects i have in mind. So keep following me and i’ll make sure you’ll be rewarded.
